Hello!

My name is Shania Jackson, and I’m a real estate photographer and videographer. I love working in homes, capturing all their quirks, and showing off their best assets. It’s been a passion of mine for many years. I even adore visiting historic buildings when I travel.

 

I started photographing at an early age. My parents gave up on disposable cameras and bought me a point and shoot camera in fact. From there, I photographed everything I could find, from the fruit bowl to the morning frost.

 

My parents knew I loved photography, but at the time could never afford it. So when I joined the Army, a serious camera was my second big purchase as an adult. I had to buy a car first. With that camera, I started taking more artistic and serious shots. I first became a family photographer but then I soon found that I had a true passion for homes and architecture in general. Even if I had visited a building a dozen times, I kept finding new photos to take.

I got into real estate photography after helping out a friend. He was trying to sell his house but wasn’t getting any bites with the photos he took on his phone. I offered to snap some photos, and the rest is history. My friend had offers in less than one week once we added my photos.

 

From there, I set about making sure I had training and setting up shop. I enjoyed learning from the masters in real estate photography immensely. From there, I started working on a more formal basis.

 

I believe that the best photos are hard to look away from. The combinations of shapes, shadows, and light create awesome visual experiences. I strive to deliver that experience with every photograph I take here at Shania Jackson Photography.

 

While I’ve had many cameras and taken more photos than I can count, real estate will always have a place in my heart. I love the quirks and challenge all the different floorplans present, along with the unique rewards.
